Mee Hoon Kuey for dinner tonight
This dish bring back fondest memories of my mum who likes to cook this mee hoon kuey for the whole family. Kneading the dough herself, just flatten it into a small pieces and just throw into the boiling ikan bilis soup. I always have fun helping out...
Now that I'm far far far away from home, I only started making this dish myself today (after 1.5years here haha), got the recepi from my "師母" aka Dawn, she cooked mee hoon kuey 2 weeks ago... Its was so yummy, and thus I decided to give it a try today... And thanks to her, I got chilly snow crab from her on sunday... till now then i realised i forgot to take pic of the 饅頭.
I thought its a simple and easy dish to prepare, just dump everything into the pot to cook can liao ma... till the kneading of the flour dough... 1st attempt FAILED too much water i think, I then start the kneading all over again with lesser water and this time I forgot to add in eggs... OMG... No choice.. gotta knead again for the 3rd times... I used up all the flour and now I dont know if I got the correct 'FEEL' of the dough anot, hmm.
Another few more hours to dinner... I hope my mee hoon kuey will taste good and I shall cook again maybe next week... muhahahhahha
